Changers Book One: Drew is a NYPL summer reading pick!

We’re thrilled that Changers Book One: Drew by T Cooper and Allison Glock-Cooper has been chosen to be part of the New York Public Library’s Summer Reading Challenge book list for readers in Grades 6–8! The inclusion of Changers Book One: Drew on the list means the book will be available in every branch of the New York Public Library, Brooklyn Public Library, and Queens Library throughout the summer. Kids are encouraged to spend twenty minutes a day reading and track their progress with a summer reading calendar provided by the New York Public Library.

This is only the latest exciting thing to happen to the Changers series. On the heels of the release of Changers Book Two: Oryon, we’re delighted to share an amazing letter that T and Allison received from a Changers fan:

Hi, I am 15 and I have been reading the Changers books and I just wanted to say I know what Ethan (I guess I can call him that) feels like during his time being Drew and Oryon. I have reread Book Two so many times I could probably recite it. Every time I read the books I start to cry because I know what it’s like to be an outcast. And it seems that most teenagers change every school year. Even though they aren’t Changers. I mean they are but not like Ethan. I have done so many things differently since I started reading the Changers series. These books have changed my entire perception on life. This book also saved my best friend’s life because she thought that life wouldn’t get better. Then she read it and she was a totally different person because she wasn’t afraid to be herself anymore. A week later she came out of the closet to me telling me that she was a lesbian. Many thanks from her and I. I can’t wait for the next two books. I know they will be just a good or better than Drew and Oryon.
