AWP PROGRAM: Open Mic and Old School Slam. AWP welcomes students to return to the roots of Slam! There will be an open mic with special guests Jason Carney, author of Starve the Vulture, and Bill Schneider, and then undergraduate and graduate students partake in a hardcore-break-your-heart-strut-out-the-good-stuff slam competition. Students are welcome to sign up to participate on Friday, March 9, 2018 and Thursday, March 8, 2018 at the Wilkes University/Etruscan Press booth and read original pieces (three minutes or less with no props) at the Slam later that night.
