CHERYL LU-LIEN TAN is the New York–based author of A Tiger in the Kitchen: A Memoir of Food and Family. A native of Singapore, she is working on her second book, a novel. A former staff writer at the Wall Street Journal, her work has also appeared in the New York Times and the Washington Post, among other publications. She has been an artist in residence at Yaddo and the Djerassi Resident Artists Program. She is a contributor to The Marijuana Chronicles and the editor of Singapore Noir.
STEPHEN KITSAKOS is a librettist and writer who divides his time between Key West and New York. He is the recipient of commissions from the National Endowment for the Arts, American Opera Projects, Seattle Opera, the Florida Council on Arts and Culture, ABC-CLIO, and the Smithsonian Institution. His recent operatic adaptations include Khaled Hosseini’s A Thousand Splendid Suns and Tomasz Jedrowski‘s Swimming in the Dark. He serves as Executive Producer and host of Between Two Palms, a conversation series from The Studios of Key West that features prominent authors, playwrights, performers, and journalists.
