Jennifer Baumgardner Named Publisher of Feminist Press

We were thrilled to hear that Jennifer Baumgardner, author of Abortion & Life and coeditor of the forthcoming We Do!: American Leaders Who Believe in Marriage Equality, has been named Publisher/Executive Director of The Feminist Press at the City University of New York!

The Board of Directors of the Feminist Press at CUNY is pleased to announce the selection of Jennifer Baumgardner as its new Publisher/Executive Director. Baumgardner follows the successful tenure of Gloria Jacobs, who retired after having led the Feminist Press since 2006 . . . Baumgardner brings knowledge of the profound changes wrought by Second Wave feminism, experience analyzing the feminism of her generation, and respect and support for the countless younger feminists who are contributing to the current feminist movement. The Board of Directors looks forward to working with Baumgardner in the years to come and is excited about the new energy she brings to the Feminist Press to continue its mission of publishing revolutionary books and ideas.
