JASON COHEN first wrote about Garbage for Rolling Stone in 1995, and subsequently for the now-defunct magazines Unlimited and Request. His other books include Generation Ecch!, Zamboni Rodeo and SXSW Scrapbook. He is a writer-at-large for Texas Monthly and a regular contributor to Portland Monthly, Cincinnati Magazine, Eater, and Street Roots.
