2014 Grammy Award–winner Ziggy Marley Announces New Album, Debut Children’s Book

Fresh from his win of a 2014 Grammy Award for Best Reggae Album, six-time Grammy winner and reggae icon Ziggy Marley has announced the forthcoming release of his fifth studio album, Fly Rasta, which will be released on Tuesday, April 15th via Tuff Gong Worldwide. The album will feature The Melody Makers, including Cedella Marley, Sharon Marley, and Rica Newell, and also features additional production by Dave Cooley.

In addition to the launch of Fly Rasta, Ziggy Marley has also penned a debut children’s book, I Love You Too, which will be released by Akashic Books and Tuff Gong Worldwide on April 15th, 2014. I Love You Too is a multicultural children’s picture book that draws its text from one of Ziggy’s most beloved songs, featuring beautiful illustrations by Ag Jatkowska.

ZiggyMarley ZIGGY MARLEY is a devoted father and husband, a multiple Grammy Award winner, an Emmy Award winner (for his song “I Love You Too” in the animated series 3rd & Bird), humanitarian, singer, songwriter, producer, and reggae icon, who has released fifteen critically acclaimed albums. His early immersion in music came at age ten when he sat in on recording sessions with his father, Bob Marley. As the front man of Ziggy Marley and the Melody Makers, he released eight best-selling albums, with such chart-topping hits as “Look Who’s Dancing,” “Tomorrow People,” and “Tumblin’ Down.” Ziggy’s first solo album, Dragonfly, was released in 2003 and was followed by two Grammy Award–winning solo albums, Love Is My Religion (Best Reggae Album) and Family Time (Best Children’s Album); his 2013 live album, Ziggy Marley in Concert, was awarded the 2014 Grammy Award for Best Reggae Album. He is the author of I Love You Too.
